How do I get this to work with Reaper?
Quote from richpav on 14/03/2022, 03:43I've gone through the 65 second setup video on YouTube and I've enabled it as a MIDI input device in Reaper's preferences.
Now what? I'm hoping to use it with Surge XT and other free synths.

You have to create faders and/or 3D Pads on DAW IT and assign the controller numbers you want on each of them.
Then use the LEARN function on every slider or knob (on the instruments) you want to control.
In my case, when I use a Kontakt instrument, I have my fader on DAW IT ready and I right click on the slider I want to control for example "dynamics". While the slider is in LEARN mode, I move the fader and it's done !!!
Now if you want to control Reaper itself, using DAW IT Buttons too, it's more complicated as you have to search in Reaper's manual.
There is a video on our Youtube channel but it uses Cubase as an example. The strategy is similar though.

Check the user manual too. It's very helpful
